Last year Finnish singer Astrid Swan released her excellent second effort, ‘Spartan Picnic’, and come September she’s ready with the followup titled ‘Better Than Wages’. First single, ‘Your Bitches’, is out now, and it’s a neat Creedence bar blues – fitting her brand new band’s name perfectly – seemingly about a friend who’s grown boring, picking really quite boring (trophy) girlfriends, and the very adult life that comes with that, over her; the drinking, smoking and altogether more fun counter.
