Finnish girls who would grab their balls often (and probably in public) if they had them and an all-over-the-place Swedish one-man band. It’s all in this edition of SpaceScan, presenting The Micragirls, who do punkish, retro garage rock, and Rigas aka Henrik von Euler, who’s experimenting heavily within the realms of pop.

I was tipped about these three girls by Anna a while back (thanks again), and if you’re in to girl trios mixing early garage rock’n’roll, punk and 60s girl-groups aesthetics this is the band for you. The Micragirls released their debut album ‘Feeling Dizzy Honey?’ in 2007 with the followup, ‘Wild Girl Walk’, coming out September 9.
