Finnish super-metallers Children of Bodom have just released their new album ’Skeletons in the Closet’ consisting entirely of cover songs. That’s rarely a good idea and some of the songs are more quirky than actually good (e.g. Britney Spears’ ‘Oops!… I Did It Again’), while others are kind of pointless (their version of Alice Cooper’s ‘Bed of Nails’ is good, but you know who does it better? Alice Cooper).
Anyway there are a couple of really awesome covers, one of the best being this absolutely ace version of Billy Idol’s ‘Rebel Yell’ which gets just the kind of dirty treatment it deserves.
