The Submarine Sessions – live and (almost) under water

Here’s a nice concept that has been snuck online under my radar (no pun intended) while I was on holiday. Concocted by new, online culture magazine, Thirdear.dk, it is a series of acoustic, one take sessions with among others Cody, The Raveonettes, Baby Woodrose and Oh Land, recorded in the belly of retired submarine Sælen (“The Seal”) which was part of the Danish contribution to the desert war in Iraq (don’t ask…).
So far eight sessions are online – check them out here – with performances from As In RebekkaMaria, No And The Maybes, PowerSolo and others to follow.
