After a decade of doing metal-tinged rock in quintet Sara, Finnish singer and songwriter Joa Korhonen felt a strong need to explore new musical grounds and teaming up with singer Jenni Niemi Meadow Island was born. Together the two create dreamy, beautifully melancholic acoustic pop, which recently landed them a record deal with Universal.
The debut album is just about finished and expected to be released in August, but already you can download the two songs ‘Tower’ and ‘… And All That’s Left’ at meadowisland.net.
