Ambient and electro with acidic twists and a dash of 80s computer games is what Icelandic laptop composer Futuregrapher aka Árni Grétar is about. Late last year he released the ‘Yellow Smile Girl EP’ containing three original songs and six remixes of the title track and he is currently working on his debut full length titled ‘Projecting The State Of How I Live’ (no release date yet).

Steso (FO)
Twelve Faroese musicians from Makrel, ORKA, Budam and Sic among other bands have joined forces in Steso. It sounds like work in progress as some of the eight songs streaming on MySpace end quite abruptly, but you’ll get their ideas flowing through the atmospheric downtempo compositions with elfin vocals and spoken word in Faroese. The outfit are currently working on a debut album, but no release date is set.

WHO DO YOU THINK EVERYBODY SHOULD HEAR?
Although we spend a lot of time out there, we can’t claim to have heard every band on MySpace, so please feel free to recommend bands – Scandinavian, of course – you think everybody deserve to hear. We do reserve the right not to feature your band(s), but we guarantee to check them out. Drop links to: spacescan (a) allscandinavian.com
