The ALL SCANDINAVIAN SpaceScan series continue, this Friday offering a fix for thrash metal fans courtesy of Danish quintet Invisius and a danceable treat for those sympathetic towards lonely spacemen by the Swedish trio Silverpennies, who has a free EP out and about. With this we leave you to do your thing and wish you a merry weekend.
Invisius (DK)
Lots and lots of awesome metal are being released in Denmark right now. So much that ALL SCANDINAVIAN has a desk full of albums that ought to be praised on the site. Which they will be. Anyway, let’s start with the thrash metallers Invisius. They were named Talent of the Year at the Danish Metal Awards in 2007 and have just released their debut album, ‘The Spawn of Condemnation’, which is totally ace.

From Borlänge, Sweden – home of Peace & Love Festival – comes this trio, who mix rock ‘n pop with a little disco ‘n ska punk in songs about lonely spacemen, gargoyles, trolls and self-love (or the lack thereof) among other universal themes. Late March Silverpennies released their third four-song EP which you can download for free on silverpennies.se.

WHO DO YOU THINK EVERYBODY SHOULD HEAR?
Although we spend a lot of time out there, we can’t claim to have heard every band on MySpace, so please feel free to recommend bands – Scandinavian, of course – you think everybody deserve to hear. We do reserve the right not to feature your band(s), but we guarantee to check them out. Drop links to: spacescan (a) allscandinavian.com
