The fifteenth SpaceScan of 2010 is all about metal, presenting two album debutants in the kick-ass Finnish progressive metal quartet Circle Of Contempt and the Danish quintet Psy:code who in their own words dabble in progressive bounce metal. Circle Of Contempt (SF)
Very nice progressive metal from Finland… Okay, “nice” may not be the right word. Very ass-kicking progressive metal from Finland, constantly interchanging between clean vocals, screaming and growling and melodic choruses, nut-busting guitar riffs and 200 Mph drumming would be it. Circle Of Contempt’s debut album, ‘Artifacts in Motion’, is out now.

Psy:code (DK) (Photo)
Psy:code is one of the most interesting new metal bands in Denmark right now. The five-piece appeared on the radar when they did a warm up gig for Slayer i Denmark in 2008 and they recently released their debut album ‘Delusion’ with 11 brutal, yet oddly melodic tracks of what the band themselves call “progressive bounce metal”.
