Sigur Rós deluxe album, films and more
Categories: Iceland • Live • Rock

Iceland’s pride and joy, Sigur Rós, ends their amazing year with something of a goodie-bag for their fans. A new single, ‘Við Spilum Endalaust’, two films that document much of the recording of their album and early touring, directed by Nick Abrahams, a one-off special gig in Iceland and finally a deluxe edition of their latest album, ‘Með Suð Í Eyrum Við Spilum Endalaust’.
The special edition will be released November 17 and contains the album (of course), a DVD including both films mentioned plus the banned video to the track ‘Gobbledigook’, a 196-page hardcover cloth-bound book of photographs shot by Eva Vermandel and each special edition will not only be individually numbered but include a unique strip of 16mm film from the ‘Gobbledigook’ video shoot, specially mounted within the front cover of the book.
November 23 Sigur Rós will also play a concert in Laugardalshöll, Reykjavík, their first solo concert in Iceland since 2001. The concert will feature 400 near-to-stage tickets at a specially discounted rate for junior high schoolers (aged 13-16) and ticket pre-sale will start November 4 through midi.is.
