The Hives

Swedish garage rockers The Hives are being accused of stealing both riff and vocal line of American band The Roofies’ single ‘Why You’, recorded in 1997, for their own ‘Tick Tick Boom’ (of 2007s ‘The Black And White Album’). According to musikknyheter.no songwriter Jason Shapiro tells LA Times that he really like The Hives and don’t enjoy accusing them, but that he deserves to at least be credited for his work.
