It’s pretty hard not to think Prince when listening to ‘Insomnia’ by Swedish disco popper Pearl aka Per Störby, one of the two tracks streaming on MySpace. The other day the former main man of now defunct Zeigeist released the other, ‘The Ruby Fever’ (in the player), as first single off his debut album as Pearl Fiction, which is due out this fall, and if you dig downbeat, funky and very 80s pop this is one for you.

Although we spend a lot of time out there, we can’t claim to have heard every band on MySpace, so please feel free to recommend bands – Scandinavian, of course – you think everybody deserve to hear. We do reserve the right not to feature your band(s), but we guarantee to check them out. Drop links to: spacescan (a)
