KELLERMENSCH (DK) (Photo)
End July a revamped version of Danish dark rockers Kellermensch’s eponymous debut including four brand new songs will be released in the UK. The first single, ‘Army Ants’, was released Monday and it’s another piece of KM greatness, revealing new and slightly less disturbing sides of the outfit (musically anyway) while rubbing shoulders with Bruce Springsteen.
IZAKAYA HEARTBEAT (NO)
Back in January Norwegian psychedelic rockers Izakaya Heartbeat released their debut album ‘Ancient Asobi/In Arcadia’ and on the very last day of May, they let this awesome, animated video by Linda Baardsen for equally awesome song ‘Glass And Flowers’ loose on YouTube.
TOGGI (ISL)
He released his debut album, ‘Puppy’, back in 2006 and right now Icelandic singer/songwriter Toggi is prepping the ground for the followup, due out this fall, with a series of free singles – latest this wonderful song titled ‘The Artist’. Get it and three other freebies here!
PEARL FICTION (SE)
Friday Swedish electropopper Pearl Fiction aka Per Störby was one half of our SpaceScan with his downbeat funky, 80s pop inspired first single ‘The Ruby Fever’. There’s a video accompanying the single, too, featuring naked men and snails. Lots of snails…
UNO MØLLER (NO)
Preparing to release his debut album this summer, Norwegian singer/songwriter Uno Møller has put out a free, three track single titled ‘How To Lead You Home’. If you’re in to moving, acoustic folk with a surprising twist in the experimental instrumental closer ‘Sailing With Hats’, this EP is really something worth checking out. So do that – and download it – here!
TREEFIGHT FOR SUNLIGHT (DK)
The other half of our SpaceScan the past Friday, Danish quartet Treefight For Sunlight, also have videos out. This one – a result of a few hours of band fun – for ‘The Universe Is A Woman’, and another altogether more professional video for first single ‘Facing The Sun’ – which you can check out here!
MF/MB (SE)
Almost exactly a year ago we first featured Swedish quintet MFMB (now MF/MB by the looks of it) and in May they signed to Adrian Recordings, who will release their debut album, ‘Folded’, in the fall. A first despondent single is out, titled ‘The Big Machine’ (in the player), which you can download for free via thelineofbestfit.com.
