SpaceScan10 #25: Moby The Pink Pilot and Pinkunoizu
Categories: Alternative • Denmark • Faroe Islands • Features • Rock

The 25. SpaceScan of 2010 features two quartets from the Faroe Islands and Denmark. The latter call themselves Pinkunoizu and consist of four former members of Le Fiasko, who dabble in alternative folk and more, the first work under the moniker Moby The Pink Pilot and dish out succulent garage-prog-rock. Check them out and let us know what you think…

From the Faroe Islands comes this quartet (it is, even though there are only three of them in the photo) who hit us up with a succulent rock mixture of prog, garage and a touch of the 1990s. Moby The Pink Pilot have two grand songs streaming on MySpace, my favorite being ‘Save Us From Ourselves’ in the player.

Pinkunoizu (DK)
Former Le Fiasko frontman Andreas Pallisgaard and three of his then band mates make up Pinkunoizu. Like Le Fiasko it’s eclectic, alternative folk and more with too many exciting – often psychedelic – twists to mention. Six songs are on MySpace and more on pinkunoizu.com, where you can download a live concert recorded in February.

WHO DO YOU THINK EVERYBODY SHOULD HEAR?
Although we spend a lot of time out there, we can’t claim to have heard every band on MySpace, so please feel free to recommend bands – Scandinavian, of course – you think everybody deserve to hear. We do reserve the right not to feature your band(s), but we guarantee to check them out. Drop links to: spacescan (a) allscandinavian.com
