Volbeat victorious at Danish Metal Awards

Whenever Volbeat release an album, they win the award for Album of the Year at the Danish Metal Awards. That’s one conclusion to be drawn from this year’s award ceremony dedicated to the music your mum hates.
Volbeat took home the Album of the Year award for ‘Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood’, just like they did for their previous albums ‘The Strength/The Sound/The Songs’ and ‘Rock The Rebel/Metal The Devil’.
Jacob Hansen won the award for best production for ‘Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood’, which didn’t come as the biggest surprise as he claimed four of the five nominations in the Best Production category. Really, the only question was which album he would be awarded for.
Other winners include Scamp – their ‘Mirror Faced Mentality’ was given the award for Debut Album of the Year – Crocell for Talent of the Year and The Burning for Live Band of the Year. The Video of the Year award was given to Pilgrimz and director Andreas Krohn for ‘Shake-A-Feather’. Check it out here:
