Scandinavia at Popkomm 2010

After a no go last year the international music business festival Popkomm in Berlin return this September 8-10 in cool new settings in the now decommissioned airport Berlin Tempelhof. Apart from seminars, speed meetings and all the other stuff aimed at the music business, a big showcase festival will take take place in venues in and around the airport presenting 60 bands from 20 countries. Including, of course, Scandinavia.
Wednesday, September 8, one event in particular services fans of Nordic tunes with a collaboration between the Swedish showcase club Almost Famous and the new live club in Berlin, Nordic by Nature, which started in February 2010 with the mission to bring Scandinavian music to Berlin. Together they’ve staged what should be a grand night with live performances by among others Therese Aune (NO), Moto Boy (SE), Vinnie Who (DK), TV OFF (SF) and Familjen (SE).
Elsewhere you can experience the rich Scandinavian music scenes through shows with Murmansk (SF), Kellermensch (DK), The Ghost (FO), Pintandwefall (SF), Spleen United (DK) and The Megaphonic Thrift (NO) among many others, plus the Atlantic Soundscapes event presenting and celebrating Faroese culture.
