Icelandic electronica legends GusGus are putting the finishing touches on their new album ‘24/7’, which is due for release April 10 2009. President Bongo, Biggi Veira and Daníel Ágúst Haraldsson have recorded the album live in the studio and the new material is said to be “slightly dub influenced”.
GusGus, who’s taken their name from the German film ‘Angst essen Seele auf’ (‘Ali: Fear Eats the Soul’, 1974) by Rainer Werner Fassbinder, where a female character is cooking couscous for her lover, pronouncing it “gus gus” – something the band regards a “sex reference” – have made pictures from the recording sessions available HERE.
But before you leave check out this neat animated video for ‘Moss’, the first single of their latest studio album ‘Forever’ (2007).
