Dead By April

In October we recommended Swedish rock/metal band Dead By April in our SpaceScan. We wondered why they’d only released a demo, but assured you the young quintet were going to make it big in the future. Well, much has happened since then and we’re one step closer to being right. (UPDATE: Read our review of their debut album HERE!)

Dead By April has signed a record deal with multinational label Universal. The band has already entered the studio to record their debut, which will be produced by Henrik Edenhed (The Sounds, Teddybears, Robyn and many more). No news on a release date, however.

And all though the band may be Dead By April they could have a hell of a January ahead of them as they are nominated for three major Swedish awards: Rockbjörnens MySpace Award, Best Newcomer at the Swedish Metal Awards and Breakthrough Of The Year at the Bandit Awards.

We told you they were gonna be huge…
