This year PowerSolo are celebrating their tenth anniversary since the release of their debut, ‘Lemon Half Moon’, with their fifth album, ‘Buzz Human’. Since we last heard from them in 2009 with the great ‘BLOODSKINBONES’, the duo has been touring – not least outside Denmark – and made some well deserved cash through ad campaigns by Carlsberg, Coca-Cola Zero, Honda, Ford, Renault and Absolut Vodka (the Coke ad sticking out like a sore thumb all things considered) using their music.

So, who are they?
Kim Kix and The Atomic Child aka The Railthin Brothers aka Kim and Bo Jeppesen and guests: Celina ”The Queen Of Psych” Ozymandias, Joachim Leksell (Dipper), Sébastien Doubinsky, Matt Gangi (Gangi), Yebo (Tremolo Beer Gut) and The Great Nalna (Tremolo Beer Gut).

How’s the album?
Weird, fun, ugly, fascinating, disrespectful, primal, anarchic, repetitive, daffy, angry, awesome and not so awesome, greasy haired and abundantly tattooed… Really just a PowerSolo album for better and worse in all its psychobilly ‘n punk-ness, again throwing radio-friendly moments (‘Creepy’ and first single ‘I Love You But I Hate You’) in with the utterly mad (‘The Rither’), the psychedelic (‘I Miss You’) and the 60s garagerocking (‘Sensation feat. Joachim Leksell’). Oh, and this time around they also mock about with a bit of spoken word, most notably opening salute to everything PowerSolo by French poet Sébastien Doubinsky. I like it…
