Efterklang coming to America, free live EP
Categories: Denmark • Live • Rock

Just seven weeks after returning from a 14 months and 133 concerts long world tour supporting their latest effort ‘Paredes’, Danish alternative indiepop maestros Efterklang have announced a new tour in North America. The tour will play 25 gigs in four weeks in the US and Canada, among them “at least one” at SxSW Festival in Austin, Texas, according to the band.
Also this tour is part of Efterklang’s preparations to their third album. Instead of spending years in a studio they want to develop new songs through their live performances, so expect half setlists with brand new and untested material. On top of this the band will this time consist of the four core members Mads Brauer, Casper Clausen, Thomas Husmer and Rasmus Stolberg plus siblings Peter and Heather Broderick and Daniel James aka Canon Blue (signed to Efterklang label Rumraket). Peter Broderick and Canon Blue also play support on the tour.

With that we get to the promised free download, a four song live EP and joint venture with Danish Slaraffenland under the common name Slaraffenklang recorded at last year’s Sono Festival in Rødovre (a suburb to Copenhagen) November 8. All four songs are covers of Efterklang and Slaraffenland and you can download it for free here.
