Big emotions and powerful pop make up one half of this edition of SpaceScan, banging freak-funk electronica the other. The first is delivered by Swedish quintet Sparrow, who are streaming their new EP in full on MySpace, the latter by Norwegian duo Munn Til Munn Metoden, who offer three remixes and two original songs on their ditto.

Recently this Jönköping/Gothenburg based quintet finished an EP titled ‘Feathers & Wings’ (quite apt considering their band name) which they are streaming in full on their MySpace. It’s grand indiepop showing they know big emotions (beautiful lullaby ‘Go To Sleep’) and powerful pop (‘Burn With Me’ and ‘Coldwarm’) with an ace in lead singer Marcus Josephson’s intense delivery.

Munn Til Munn Metoden (NO)
Three remixes and two original songs (one, ‘Maintain’, in the player below) are up for offer on this Norwegian duo’s MySpace. Their band name translates to “mouth to mouth method” and it’s not hard to imagine a little heavy petting going down on dance floors when Kristian Torkelsen and Dennis Johansson dish out their freaky, funky, dark, banging tracks with a light feel of the 1970s.
