SpaceScan11 #37: Raised Among Wolves and Oddur
Categories: Alternative • Denmark • Features • Iceland • Rock

Friday and a much needed weekend is nigh, but before I leave the ALL SCANDINAVIAN bunker here’s the weekly SpaceScan for you to (hopefully) enjoy, presenting two acts both touching on folk, although in different ways, and both with excellent first singles. First up are Danish outfit Raised Among Wolves and they’re followed by Icelandic singer/songwriter Oddur. Have a great weekend…
Raised Among Wolves (DK)
A seven-piece from Copenhagen, Raised Among Wolves are currently recording their debut EP which could be out this fall. Alternative, orchestral pop on a bedrock of folk is what they do, exemplified here by their excellent first single ‘Boys Will Be Kings’.

Oddur (ISL) (Photo)
This summer Icelandic, UK-based singer/songwriter Oddur Mar Runarsson (former guitarist in Brit electro duo Lamb) released his debut full length ‘Our Place In This?’, 10 songs rooted in the folk-rock tradition from which excellent first single ‘In A Way’ is streaming in the player.
