Q&A: HateSphere – Evil and brutal stuff… With a twist
Categories: Denmark • Features • Metal

Yesterday Danish thrash metal quintet HateSphere let their sixth full length ‘To The Nines’ loose on the world, an album ALL SCANDINAVIAN metal oracle Thomas Brunstrøm says is “among the band’s best, if not THE best”.
After last week’s two release parties the one original member left in the band, Peter “Pepe” Lyse Hansen (guitar), gives us the story on him, hangovers and age and of course HateSphere.
Who?
“Pepe from HateSphere. Guitar player and songwriter of evil and brutal stuff – with a twist… HateSphere has so far released six full length albums and two mini-albums, the latest ‘To The Nines’. HateSphere has been a part of the Danish metal scene for more than 10 years and toured Europe tons of times plus visited Japan and China as well.”
Where?
“… am I? Sitting in my living room in Aarhus, Denmark. Slightly tired because my four months old son likes to get up early… and I like to go to bed late!!!”
What?
“… have I been doing the last couple of days? The band have been busy with the preparations for the release of our new album. Two release parties two days in a row – which means I have been hungover two days in a row! This hasn’t happened in a while because of my newborn baby boy, so I am twice as tired today. Yeeehaaaaaaaa, I’m getting old!”
Why?
“… am I doing this, when I obviously can’t take it anymore?? Because I refuse to realize that I am getting older and naturally because I love rock’n’roll. Forever young, haha…”
