SpaceScan11 #48: Winhill/Losehill and Nelson Can
SpaceScan number 48 this year presents two bands with newly released first singles and debut releases slated for early 2012. First up are Swedish six-piece Winhill/Losehill, who create grandiose alternative pop, and they’re followed by Danish girl-trio Nelson Can, who dabble in punkish rock. As usual all we ask of you is a bit of reading, listening and hopefully enjoying, so get cracking and then have a great weekend.
They’ve been working on their debut album ‘Swing Of Sorrow’ for four years and November 25 Swedish six-piece Winhill/Losehill released the first single ‘Tell Her She’s The Light Of The World’ with b-side ‘Hope Village’ (in the player). It’s melancholic alternative pop centered around the loss of a loved one and the album’s released in February.

January 16 Danish girl-trio Nelson Can will release their debut EP as part of a three EP release by label 10.000 Records. Punk aesthetics spoon with pop flair in their first single (and the only sound available now), ‘Apple Pie’, which reaffirms that apples indeed is a good thing. WHO DO YOU THINK EVERYBODY SHOULD HEAR?
Although we spend a lot of time out there, we can’t claim to have heard every band on the www, so please feel free to recommend bands – Scandinavian, of course – you think everybody deserve to hear. We do reserve the right not to feature your band(s), but we guarantee to check them out. Drop links to: spacescan (a) allscandinavian.com
