Festivals everywhere are well under way with the planning and programming and it is no different for small Swedish festival Siesta!. Going down May 28-30 in Hässleholm just outside Malmö they have announced a good part of the artists playing, among them international headliners Sonic Youth, Junior Boys, Placebo and Phoenix.

From Sweden the confirmed acts count Jenny Wilson, Kleerup, Wildbirds & Peacedrums and my personal favorite Jonathan Johansson among many others, while Denmark so far is the only Scandinavian representative with As In Rebekkamaria and Dúné.

Siesta! is the fastest growing festival in Sweden – perhaps in the whole of Scandinavia – right now having moved up from approximately 1000 to 10.000 visitors in just three years. And then it’s amazingly cheap with all three days plus camping costing just 695 SEK (86 US dollars, 64 Euro, 8400 Yen).
