Fifty SpaceScans down today – two to go. This Friday presenting Norwegian quartet Electric Eye, taking you to the moon and back with their psychedelic space rock, and Swedish electropop duo Sameblod, who are currently working on their debut album slated for release sometime next year. Comprising members of The Alexandria Quartet, The Megaphonic Thrift, Hypertext and Low Frequency In Stereo this quartet have me reach for the Rizla with their cool psych ‘n space rock sporting a dash of Curtis Mayfield-tinged soul and a spot of Crosby, Stills, Nash And Young-ish folk-rock. Electric Eye have three songs out – two instrumentals and ‘When My Time Has Come’ in the player – which are all streaming on Facebook.
Earlier this year Swedish duo Sameblod aka Frederick Rundqvist and Mikael Mattisson released a five track EP ‘Our Future’, which you can stream along with a few other tracks on Facebook – among them the great first taste of their 2012 debut album ‘Almost Virgin’ in the player. It’s lush electropop reminiscing the 1980s, not entirely unlike Danish duo Shanghai (this is still just a kick ass track), and really rather good…
