Another of the albums we failed miserably at sharing with you last year (although we did point you to them in a September SpaceScan) was ‘An Album By Korallreven’ by… well, Korallreven. Sharing our philosophy of “better late than never”, the Swedish duo aka Marcus Joons and Daniel Tjäder (also keyboards in The Radio Dept.) had the album in the works for more than two years before releasing it in November and so here we are…

A whole work from beginning – the wonderful single ‘As Young As Yesterday’ featuring Victoria Bergsman (Taken By Trees) – to end with nine minute closer ‘Comin’ Down’, ‘An Album By Korallreven’ is lush synth-pop carried by a delightful combination of the unavoidable Scandinavian melancholy and the undeniable Swedish sense of pop. Excellent.
