Submission: Code Of Conspiracy
Categories: Albums • Denmark • Metal

On their debut album, ‘Failure To Perfection’, Submission proved beyond any reasonable doubt that they are capable of doing the super fast and the super angry melodic death metal. On this their second effort the Danish metallers add even more “melodic” to their mix – which makes them so much more interesting.
New frontman Lasse Sievertsen changes between growling like a guy who hates everything with a vengeance and choruses with clean vocals, and he somehow manages to add a bit of melancholy to all the aggression.
Granted, Submission sound like a lot of other bands, but the album is still very much worth checking out, especially if you are into Soilwork, Darkane, In Flames etc. Because even though Submission don’t reinvent melodeath they write great songs, play great riffs and are technically outstanding.
Guitarist Christoffer Kjeller Petersen is awesome while drummer Morten Løwe Sørensen is at times almost scary. If you think you are a good (and fast) drummer then check out the ridiculously fast blast beat of ‘Deservant’ – then cry like a little girl and go home and practice for another year or so…
