Celebrating Morrissey’s 50 year birthday (May 22) Swedish electronica pioneer Andreas Tilliander and his label Adrian have released three remixes of Tilliander’s brilliant first single ‘Caught In A Riot’ from his latest effort, ‘Show’ (out May 6).

Now, you may ask yourself what Moz and his birthday has to do with anything? Well, Andreas Tilliander is a fanatic fan, which is also the reason that these three very different remixes by Vapnet, Kite and Data80 have a distinct focus on melody.

And yes, it really is a great remix – or perhaps remake would be more appropriate term. Vapnet is actually a pop nine-piece who thought Tilliander’s song could’ve been an English version of one of their songs – which I can’t really disagree on – and then recorded this. Check them out here:
