Last week I gave you the lowdown on excellent Malmö/Stockholm based electrorock quintet MFMB’s debut mini album/two debut EP’s, letting my frustration with bands giving close to no info on themselves out on them. Thankfully we have got a little something called “a Q&A interview” to make wrongs like that right, so here’s bass man Sebastian Hedberg letting us in on MFMB.

Who?
“Whoever you’d like us to be. We adjust to anything.”

Where?
“Malmö is our home base where we rehearse, record and spend our everyday lives. Actually, one member is resident in Stockholm, which is a shame for us all and therefore we let his name remain unspoken. None of us are born and raised in those places, though. We started the band in Bollnäs, a small town in the north of Sweden, and moved out as soon as we finished school. Redneck complex? Oh yes, tons of it.”

What?
“That question makes me think of equipment, which is something I’d rather not talk about. So let’s go with this one: What’s happening in the nearest future?

Well, this summer we’ll be playing at festivals such as Roskilde and Hultsfred, write and record new songs (full length album planned for next winter), return to Finland for a gig at Monsters of Pop (Finland is our favorite country in the world, we toured there once and it was a BLAST!!!), and hopefully we will be cleansed from our sins and our hearts will be pure and we will finally be able to love again.”

Why?
“Why not? It’s not like we’ve got anything more important on the schedule. Also: MFMB makes the best music we know and we’re our biggest fans. I’ve got MFMB posters on my wall. I’m having erotic dreams about the guitarist and about the drummer, about all of them. Us. We keep this band alive because if it died we would have to pick another favorite band and what on earth would that be? Coldplay? I think not.”
