SpaceScan09 #44: The Goo Men and Feldberg
Categories: Features • Iceland • Norway • Pop • Rock

SpaceScan numero 44 presents two quite different acts in Icelandic duo Feldberg aka Eberg (Einar Tönsberg) and Rósa Birgitta Ísfeld and Norwegian six-piece The Goo Men. The first serve up brilliant pop, the latter steaming garage soul for the party people. With that I’ll leave you to it; enjoy and have a great weekend.

Fun, fuzz and steaming sex is what this Norwegian six-piece have made essential parts og their garage soul. Song titles like ‘Shag Rag’, ‘Weekend Sinner’ and ‘Let’s Have Sex’ reveal all, and it would make just about no sense to add any further deep, musical and/or existential analysis. The Goo Men are out to party and you should join them…

Feldberg (ISL)
A year ago Eberg (Einar Tönsberg) wrote a tune for a shopping mall TV commercial, calling in Rósa Birgitta Ísfeld (Sometime) for vocal duties. That went well, the duo Feldberg was formed and early this year they had a hit in Iceland with ‘Don’t Be A Stranger’ – written for a telecom TV spot. A debut album should be ready and supposed to be released on Cod Music this October. But since there’s still no mention of the duo on the Cod website, I’d say they won’t make that deadline… Oh right, the music: Brilliant pop!
