Hanoi Rocks split up, release Best Of

28 years after the formation of one of Finland’s most successful bands ever, glam-metal outfit Hanoi Rocks, the two main forces Michael Monroe and Andy McCoy have announced their second breakup by the end of 2008. Hanoi Rocks first split in 1985, but were reunited in 2002.
All commitments until the end of the year, including a UK tour starting in London October 31, will be honored. Also a final tour of Japan in spring 2009 will be done, before Hanoi Rocks shuts down with a few nights at the legendary Tavastia Club in Helsinki, where their career originally got started in the 1980s.
November 26 sees the release of the first ever career-spanning Best Of, a double disc set titled ‘This One’s For Rock’n'Roll – The Best Of Hanoi Rocks 1980-2008’.
