SpaceScan10 #51: Debutants Club and Jester
Categories: Denmark • Features • Pop • Rock • Sweden

The second to last SpaceScan this year offer great pop, post-punkish indierock and a free EP courtesy of Sweden’s Jester aka Jonatan Lundberg and Danish trio Debutants Club respectively (the latter also the ones with the freebie). Before we leave you to the read-listen-click bit I want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We’ll be taking some time off now, but do check back next Friday for the final SpaceScan in 2010.
Jester (SE)
Sweden’s Jonatan Lundberg aka Jester has two singles out and about, rocking ‘Outerspace’ in the player and grandiose ballad ‘Heroes’ streaming on SoundCloud, and if they’re anything to go by we could be treated to pop greatness when he releases his debut album ‘Strange Days’ January 19, 2011.

Debutants Club (DK) (Photo)
From Denmark comes this guitar-bass-drums trio dishing out indierock on a bed of post-punk and with a dark dash of The Cure in the mix. Debutants Club have an EP titled ‘Old Enough To Party’ under their belts, which they’re streaming in full on MySpace and give away for free on their website.

WHO DO YOU THINK EVERYBODY SHOULD HEAR?
Although we spend a lot of time out there, we can’t claim to have heard every band on MySpace, so please feel free to recommend bands – Scandinavian, of course – you think everybody deserve to hear. We do reserve the right not to feature your band(s), but we guarantee to check them out. Drop links to: spacescan (a) allscandinavian.com
