The SpaceScan selected two this week are Danish Nordicana duo Some Speak Of The Future aka Astrid Myrup and Lauritz Carlsen and Norway’s Tremoro Tarantura, which could be a duo, too, or something entirely different. I dunno and he/she/it won’t tell, so… Anyway, that probably isn’t all that important, so I’ll just leave you to check the two acts out and hope your weekend will be awesome.

Some Speak Of The Future (DK)
Hailing form Copenhagen this duo (and friends) moves in fairly minimalistic, rather melancholic and often very good Nordicana. Some Speak Of The Future aka Astrid Myrup and Lauritz Carlsen released a six song EP titled ‘Fall/Run’ recently from which four songs are streaming on MySpace (the title track in the player one) along with ‘Theme For A Book’ off their eponymous 2009 debut.

Tremoro Tarantura (NO) (Photo)
I really don’t know much about Tremoro Tarantra other than they’re from Norway (and I’m just assuming it’s a band, or at the very least a duo as suggested by the photo), that they released their first LP titled ‘Virtulipan Collapseecon’ on their own Circusia Recordings label last winter, and have the ‘Escaparadius Thrashcant 7″‘ due out mid-2011. But I do know that I like their grandiose yet minimalistic, dark yet inviting psych/drone rock. Here’s ‘Traumarium’, which you can download for free on MySpace along with the less noisy ‘Virgule Ov Himalaya’.
