SpaceScan11 #14: Jungle Fiction and Jeroan Drive
Categories: Electronica • Features • Iceland • Metal • Norway

By unadulterated coincidence the SpaceScan selected two this Friday both have band names beginning with a “J”. That, however, is also the only thing they really have in common, as Icelandic trio Jungle Fiction mock about with electro ‘n disco while the Norwegian quartet Jeroan Drive hand out hardcore slaps to face and groin. Hope you’ll like both or at the very least one and wish you a merry weekend.
Jungle Fiction (ISL)
Hailing from Reykjavik, Iceland, Benedikt Atli Jónsson, Benedikt Örn Árnason and Sigurþór Sævarsson aka Jungle Fiction released their debut ‘Heat Of The Nite’ late last year, an EP sporting three tracks of electro-house ‘n disco and three remixes, which they’re giving away for free on SoundCloud. But before you go download check out the title track here:

Jeroan Drive (NO) (Photo)
Comprising members of Social Suicide (Remi Arefjord and live Bjarte Andreas Haugland) and Blood Command (Yngve Andersen and Sigurd Haakaas) and fronted by singer Stein Erik Fæø, hardcore/screamo outfit Jeroan Drive are gearing up to release their second album. No date’s official, but two singles – ‘Honour The Code’ and ‘Satanic Piss! (The Bells Of Blood)’ (in the player) – are out now, so I’m guessing it can’t be long.

WHO DO YOU THINK EVERYBODY SHOULD HEAR?
Although we spend a lot of time out there, we can’t claim to have heard every band on MySpace, so please feel free to recommend bands – Scandinavian, of course – you think everybody deserve to hear. We do reserve the right not to feature your band(s), but we guarantee to check them out. Drop links to: spacescan (a) allscandinavian.com
