ALL SCANDINAVIAN is dedicated to Scandinavian music and run by two Danish journalists, who believe themselves competent to filter your needs when it comes to the cool and thriving music scenes in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Iceland and the Faroe Islands.
Although launched July 2, 2008 – just in time to have it make sense handing out business cards on Roskilde Festival (yeah, we have business cards) – content stretch back to June 10 for “cool archive” effect, the very first post being a review of Kaizers Orchestra’s 2005 masterpiece ‘Maestro’, and on February 7, 2012, post number 1000 was published.
Throughout we’ve only shared music we like ourselves and been haunted by bad conscience because of all the good stuff we simply haven’t gotten around to write something about yet (sorry). And then we represent Denmark in the Music Alliance Pact – a network of 30+ music blogs from around the world who give you a free compilation featuring a song and artist from each nation every month.
Finally: We do realize it is grossly incorrect calling it Scandinavia as Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Finland are included, but since we’re all connected through history and to a certain extend language anyway (and because all the good “North” or “Nordic” domains were already taken) we figured we could be forgiven.
Below you’ll find a list of posts we think you definitely should check out if nothing else, and a short presentation of us running this show. Feel free to get in touch and don’t forget to show your love with a Like and a Follow on Facebook and/or Twitter.

Has been a journalist since 2004 mainly covering music as editor on now defunct music webzine, musik.dk, and as freelancer for a number of magazines and newspapers. Founded ALL SCANDINAVIAN with the intent to make it big but completely failed to remember that money in music is for the very select few, so promotion, music supervision and freelance journalism among other things is still very much part of the daily game. Tolerates both whining and looking at shoes as long as the songs are good and the feel honest (this goes for the poppiest of pop, too. The tolerance bit that is…).

Has been a journalist since 2002 covering music, film, popular culture as well as writing allegedly funny columns for a range of newspapers and magazines. Considers metal to be like pizza and sex – even when it’s bad it’s still pretty good – and has named his son after Iron Maiden’s mascot Eddie. Dislikes anyone who whines and/or looks at their shoes while on stage, but loves twin bass drums, guitar solos, shouting, screaming and music that is fun, loud, weird and epic (this includes Meat Loaf, but don’t tell anyone).
